Meghna Cave temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva . It was carved out some 5000 years back but rediscovered only in 1962. Even if one does not believe in God .This place must be visited to enjoy incradibly beautiful place on this planet.

Meghna Cave temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva . It was carved out some 5000 years back but rediscovered only in 1962. Even if one does not believe in God ..this place must be visited to enjoy incradibly beautiful place on this planet.The temple is situated about 300 feet high on the mountain and the access is through artificial steps.It take about 10 minutes to climb the steps.But once you reach the cave and take a look out side ..you will go mad to see the paradise.You will find panaroma of mountains with dense green forest , a big river flowing with roar in the gorge below , making beautiful water ponds on the way and the rain clouds spread over mountain peaks and lot lot things there which makes it like a pardise.

How To Reach :

If you go by train or fly to Dibrugarh get a share taxi for Rs250 for Pasighat ( six hours , two hours in river crossing) ,book shared taxi for Along for the next morning departing at 6 am(RS 230,five hours), stay overnight, reach to Along at 11 am, take another shared taxi for the same price , or stay overnight and take a bus to Daporijo at 7 am next morning.The taxi takes six hours and bus over nine hours.

This place is some 20 kms from Daporijo.You need to hire auto Riksha (to and fro) for Rs 600 or a Sumo Taxi for Rs 1000 .
