Kasauli Town in Himachal Pradesh

Kasauli is a town in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh and a popular hill station. It is situated around 77 km from Shimla and has an elevation of 1,800 meters above sea level. The closest airport is in Shimla and is a drive of around 35 km from this town. Developed by the British, this scenic town is visited by tourists mostly between November-February.

Thiksey Monastery in Leh Ladakh, jammu & Kashmir

At a distance of 17 km south of Leh is one one of the most beautiful monastery of Ladakh region – the Thiksey Monastery. Initially, the gompa was constructed by Sherab Zangpo at Stakmo, however, later, his nephew, Paldan Sherab, established the monastery atop a hill to the north of Indus River. The monastery, belonging to the Gelukpa order, spreads over 12 storeys with a private abode of incarnate lama at the top.

Zongkhul Monastery in Ladakh, jammu & Kashmir

Amar Mahal Palace in Jammu & Kashmir

Amar Mahal, located in Jammu, is a palace depicting grandeur of an erstwhile era. It was constructed by a French architect for Raja Amar Singh, belonging to the Dogra dynasty. The architecture of this marvelous palace resembles the grand Chateaus of France. The beautiful palace of Amar Mahal is made of red sand stone which is a real visual treat. The scenic background of the place enhances the beauty of this palace manifolds. The stunning sight of River Tawi flowing below and the Shivaliks in the north will surely make your heart skip a beat or two. Dr. Karan Singh donated this palace to the charitable trust of Hari-Tara. At present, this trust is responsible for the maintenance of this palace. In fact, Amar Mahal Palace at present has been transformed into a museum. It also plays host to a well stocked library.
