Bhuj is a municipality town as well as the district headquarters situated in the Kachchh district of the state of Gujarat, India. Located in the westernmost part of Gujarat state, Bhuj lies in the western region of India at 110 meters above sea level. It is near the Gulf of Kutch, a part of the Arabian Sea and is overlooked with a hill called as Bhujiyo Dungar towards its west.

About Chattardi in Bhuj, Gujarat :

A popular site is the cenotaph’s complex at Chattaradi in Bhuj. These are built of red stones. Of all the tombs here the largest and the finest is the one of Rao Lakha built in 1770 AD. It s polygonal in shape with balconies and an intricately carved roof. Other impressive cenotaphs are the ones of Rao Rayadhan, Rao Desai and Rao Pragmal, respectively.

Chattardi History :

Tourists will be made to remember the historical days of the past once they visit Chattardi. The complex is one of the rarest monuments existing in India to till date that is made completely out of red stones
