Kishkinta of Chennai is the dream come true project of Navodaya Mass Entertainments Limited, a sister concern of Navodaya Films. MC Punnoose alias Appachan is the maker of this Dream Land. His love for creation and his talent has made Kishkinta of Chennai a success story.
Kishkinta is a Rs 250 million project jointly launched by Navodaya Films (P) Limited, Chennai, Berjaya Leisure, Malaysia and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), a Government of Tamil Nadu undertaking.

- Of the various popular events, the joy rides at Kishkinta deserve a special mention. Joy rides like Space Shuttle, White Water, Flame Ride and Wave Pool often forms the priority. The 120 acre theme park is well provided with a natural environment featuring trees, water holes and extravagantly rich green floors. The park area has some beautiful beautiful hillocks and lakes.
- For kids there is an exclusive fantasy land called Kiddies’ Area. This section of the park features castles, water ride, tree houses, swings and many other, related stuff.
- The White Water Ride in the rubber dingy is one of the best events. Seated in a rubber dingy, the ride fills the air with excitement once water splashes the dingy. The crew are pushed to the edge when a sudden water burst sends the dingy flying in the nearby woods.
- One more important feature of the park is the 3D Theatre. The theatre provides a different perspective of the popular movie entertainment. Kishkinta Amusement Park is widely regarded as one of the better known theme parks of India, located near Tambaram Railway station in the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. The theme park benefits immensely from its far flung location, thus providing the visitors with a serene atmosphere adequately removed from the hustle and bustle of the city life, 13 km away from the south of Anakaputhur.
Kishkinta Amusement Park spans a generous area of 120 acres, complete with lush green landscapes, dense bushes, picturesque fountains, detailed designs and marvellous decorations. Besides these, the amusement park has many significant rides to arrest ones attention, with giant wave pools, water rides and thrilling roller coasters being of great interest, especially to children.
Also on display are some really fascinating water shows like the Water Volcano, Kutralam waterfalls and Rain disco, where the water moves in tandem with old Indian movie songs. A train ride for the tiny tots that takes them around the park, right through the midst of nature, is also an amazing experience. How to Reach :
Kishkinta is situated 5 kms west of Tambaram in South Chennai. One can drive down to Tambaram and take Rajaji salai to reach Kishkinta or come to Tambaram Railway Station / Bus Stand and catch a bus to kishkinta. There are efficient cab services as well.
