Along is inhabited by the Gallong tribe, which is also known as Adi tribe. If we visit the interiors of the city of Along, we can also find the sub-divisions of the Adi tribes housed in the interior of the city. Among the sub-tribes of Adi tribe the most prominent ones are Minyong, Padam, Pasi, Bakar,Bori etc.
